On 15th September the Indian summer weather was enjoyed by KS4 students who spent a day at the seaside in Dorset. Students studied beach processes and profiles at Studland Bay, before taking a short hike along the cliff top to picnic above Old Harry Rocks and sketch the famous stacks. After dodging tank fire in the Purbeck Hills, the minibuses then took the students to Lulworth Cove. Here students studied the features that make this destination a honeypot and viewed the folded bedrock of the Cove and Stair Hole, before well-deserved ice creams all round.
The students were absolutely fabulous all day long. Thank you to Mr T Webb, Mr Tucker and Mrs West-Thomas for supporting the visit.
