Qualifications

Qualifications and levels explained.  There are 8 Levels and many different types/names of Qualifications (please see table below).

How do they work?  If a student leaves school with A*-C or 4-9 Grades, they have achieved a Level 2 qualification and should apply for a course or an apprenticeship at Level 3.

New for 2016:  **Students in year 11 will sit a mixture of reformed (maths & English) and unreformed (all others) GCSEs.  Both reformed and unreformed qualifications will be accepted by colleges and employers.
